Save the date!
Paris Biological Physics Community Day :
Friday, November the 15th
9h00 – 18h00
Collège des Irlandais – Salle Michel Guillaume – 5 rue des Irlandais 75005 Paris
Interested in Biological Physics? Want to hear interesting talks and connect with young researchers in a variety of biophysical fields? Then please join us for this year’s Paris Biological Physics Community Day (PBPCD 2019), a conference organized by young researchers in biological physics from the Paris area.
The funding for the event provided by CNRS IRN “Predictability Adaptation Navigation” and LPENS covers lunch, coffee breaks and an evening cocktail, no registration fee is required! Now in its 7th year, the one-day meeting is intended for all researchers interested in biological physics and the quantitative biosciences, both theoreticians and experimentalists. The day has earned a reputation as one filled with lively scientific presentations and discussions with a dynamic, informal atmosphere. Four invited talks will be interleaved with short presentations by local young researchers (PhDs and postdocs).
If you are a PhD or post-doc with exciting research results and would be interested in giving a short presentation, please submit an abstract before october 13th (not more than half a page) here.
This year the invited speakers are:
- Hildegard Uecker – Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology, Plön, DE
- Salima Rafai – LiPhy, Grenoble, FR
- Alexandre Kabla – Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge, UK
- Berenike Maier – Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Institute for Biological Physics, Köln, DE
We look forward to seeing you on Friday, November 15th!
