About
The Vax-Action MINT & SMART project focuses on the development and evaluation of tools for healthcare professionals to support conversations about vaccine acceptance with their patients, specifically in the context of influenza vaccination.
The intervention is based on two key components:
- A short training in Motivational Interviewing (MINT)
- A pre-consultation positioning and reflection tool (SMART) designed for patients
These tools are designed, tested, and evaluated as part of the Vax-Action MINT & SMART project to assess their impact on healthcare professionals’ practices, confidence, and patients’ vaccine acceptance.
The study follows a randomized pre-post controlled design, and is implemented across five European countries, with coordination led by the Institut Pasteur.
Objectives
- To strengthen healthcare professionals’ practices and confidence
- To enhance healthcare workers’ ability to effectively discuss and recommend vaccination.
