About
The department of Computational Biology will be organizing new Methods Primer seminar series addressing advanced analytical methods. The meetings will be in-person only using a chalk talk format. It aims at being an open forum for both beginners and experts interested in understanding and discussing general principles and fine details of methodologies used in modern biology. It targets anyone on campus with a basic background in mathematics, statistics or algorithmic.

Description: Network data brings new statistical and computational challenges due to their inherent dependency structure. Focusing on the inference of network motifs, i.e., significant connection patterns, I will discuss particular challenges in modelling network data as well as different methods for tackling these.
