Karine Sitbon received her MD in 1993 at Saint-Louis/Lariboisière Medical School (Paris 7).
Her research interest focuses on invasive fungal infections to improve diagnostic and treatment strategies through a better understanding of the epidemiology and the natural history of invasive mycoses.
She is in charge of monitoring the databases for the National Reference Center for Invasive Mycoses & Antifungals (NRCMA) helping contributing clinicians and microbiologists, but also requesting missing data and isolates. She is also involved in several clinical studies related to the missions of the NRCMA and contributes to data analysis.
