- 1992-1993: Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institut Pasteur – Paris. Research Topic: Characterization of a human SWI/SNF complex. Advisor: Prof. Moshe Yaniv.
- 1992: PhD in Microbiology-Biotechnology, INSA Toulouse. Thesis: Transcriptional regulation of the human retroviruses HIV-1 and HTLV-1. Research studies were done in the laboratory of Dr Richard Gaynor at UCLA.
