We are looking for a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to work on molecular mechanisms of protein secretion and type IV filament assembly in bacteria. The position is in the team of Dr. Olivera Francetic, which is part of the Biochemistry Macromolecular Interactions Unit, Department of Structural Biology and Chemistry, Institut Pasteur, Paris, France. The position is funded by an HFSP grant.
A successful applicant will take a lead role in projects within the scope of our main areas of interest pertaining to 1) reconstitution of operons involved in cytochrome nanowire secretion and assembly in model Gram-negative bacteria 2) study of protein interactions and molecular mechanisms of protein secretion in the reconstituted systems, 3) biochemical and structural characterisation of protein components and complexes.
Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. with less than two years of postdoctoral experience. Candidates will also have a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics and structural biology, as evidenced by publications.
