Description
The Demangel Laboratory at Institut Pasteur has an opening for postdoctoral researcher at the interface between Immunology and Microbiology. The project funded by the European Research Council (ERC) will use in vitro (human) and in vivo (mouse) models to decipher the interactions between Mycobacterium tuberculosis and lipid droplets in host cells, and understand how bacteria bypass lipid droplet-mediated immune defenses (Bosch et al., Science, 2020). The researcher will work in close collaboration with the groups of Albert Pol (University of Barcelona, Spain) and Robert G. Parton (University of Queensland, Australia). Requirements

Candidates should have a PhD in cellular microbiology, host-pathogen interactions or related fields, with a track record of publication in peer-reviewed journals and excellent verbal and written English skills, and basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques. Experience in mycobacterial genetics, macrophage biology, immune cell signaling, lipid metabolism, handling of mice will be a plus.
