Project: Infection of epithelial cells by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis leads to DNA damage and could contribute to the occurrence of ovarian cancer. The mechanisms for the accumulation of DNA damage, and the long-term consequences of infection on chromatin integrity will be studied in an organoid model of the Fallopian-tube epithelium. The engineer will set up the organoid culture model and microcopy-based approaches to document DNA damage and repair.
Candidate: The engineer will have a strong background in cell biology and tissue culture. Experience in microbiology is not required. Experience in chromatin biology and/or organoid culture will be appreciated.
Diploma required: Master 2.
Location: The Institut Pasteur in Paris offers an international, dynamic and stimulating scientific campus. Funding
The initial contract will be for one year with possibilities for extension (funding for 3 years).
Salary will be commensurate to experience following the Institut Pasteur pay scale.
