CDD Research Engineer
The position stems from a collaboration between three units of the Institut Pasteur (led by C. Buchrieser, M. Hamon, A. Subtil) aiming to identify molecules with antimicrobial properties antimicrobial properties acting at the epigenetic level of the infected host. The person recruited will work in these three units, as well as on the screening platform directed by F. Agou.
The engineer will develop the optimal experimental conditions to test the antimicrobial properties antimicrobial properties of small molecules on four pathogens: Chlamydia trachomatis, Legionella pneumophila, Pseudomonas aeruginosas and Streptococcus pneumoniae. Development of the experimental conditions of the screen (reading of the efficacy of the drugs by microscopy and (reading of drug efficacy by microscopy and ELISA test) – Carrying out the 4 screens – Analysis and formatting of the results.
The candidate will have good experience in cell culture, experience in screening and/or microbiology will be and/or microbiology will be an asset but is not essential. An excellent sense of organisation of work time, and management of generated data (Excel spreadsheet) An ability to adapt to different working environments will be essential.
