Titus Brown and his lab at UC Davis tackle questions surrounding biological data analysis, data integration, and data sharing. Their primary interest is in genomic, transcriptomic, and metagenomic sequence analysis. In brief, his lab is the primary developer of the khmer, sourmash, and spacegraphcats software for faster and more efficient sequence analysis of high-throughput sequencing data. They run quite a bit of training in data-intensive biology.
For this event we will set up an “online coffee” room for discussions between participants and the speaker after the talk. Link: https://spatial.chat/s/dbcseminar
