Institut Pasteur in Italy – Cenci Bolognetti Foundation

The Istituto Pasteur – Fondazione Cenci Bolognetti is a private non-profit foundation established in Rome from the bequest of Princess Beatrice Fiorenza Cenci Bolognetti, the last heir of an ancient noble Roman family. The Institute, specialized in biomedical research, was founded according to her wish to promote the Pasteurian sciences and to found a Institut Pasteur in Italy.

Member of the Network since 1970, the Istituto Pasteur – Fondazione Cenci Bolognetti funds projects within the Sapienza – University of Rome and in 2015 opened a new, independent laboratory “Laboratorio Pasteur d’Italia” (Italian Pasteur Laboratory).

The Istituto Pasteur – Fondazione Cenci Bolognetti is committed to :

  • Promoting biomedical research in the field of Pasteurian sciences.
  • Supporting the formation of young scientists.
  • Disseminating the scientific culture within society.
