Victor Narat studied veterinary medicine at the National Veterinary School of Nantes (France) and received his PhD at the National Museum of Natural History (Paris, France). During his veterinary thesis and his PhD, he studied interactions between bonobos, habitats and humans in Democratic Republic of the Congo  through an interdisciplinary approach mixing primatology, ecology, ethnoecology and parasitology.

He is researching the changes of human-non human primate contacts with a perspective on Emerging Infectious Diseases in Cameroon, Gabon and DRC.
