Mikhail is a postdoctoral researcher with a background in computer science and applied mathematics.
Before joining the Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Diseases Unit in February 2015, he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow where he studied mathematical modelling and veterinary epidemiology.
Currently, Mikhail works on a number of projects studying transmission dynamics of various pathogens including dengue and Ebola viruses. The main focus of his research is to explain the intricate dengue dynamics on various spatial scales: from countrywide to within city.
