A little guide for advanced search:

  • Tip 1. You can use quotes "" to search for an exact expression.
    Example: "cell division"
  • Tip 2. You can use + symbol to restrict results containing all words.
    Example: +cell +stem
  • Tip 3. You can use + and - symbols to force inclusion or exclusion of specific words.
    Example: +cell -stem
e.g. searching for members in projects tagged cancer

About

#1 Experienced research scientist in virology & immunology (>10 years).

Mickaël is currently contributing to patient-oriented translational research projects with colleagues/KOLs in Paris (Institut Pasteur and Hôpital Kremlin-Bicêtre), Toulouse (CHU) and in Amsterdam (Academisch Medisch Centrum), focusing on cohorts of HIV+ patients (ANRS° cohorts : PRIMO, CODEX, COPANA & OPTIPRIM; Amsterdam Cohorts Studies on HIV/AIDS). With collaborators based in Paris (CEA) and Atlanta, Mickaël and his collaborators are trying to address their findings in host models for HIV/AIDS.

To embody his commitment to improve people health and live.s, to share the scientific knowledge with HIV+ patients, Mickaël volunteers for two NGOs (BASILIADE and ACCEPTESST) based in Paris and Lyon, France. As from 03/25/2015, Mickaël is an administrator. Recently (11/06/2016) `Mickaël became an administrator of ACCEPTESST.

#2 Skills gained from all the international experiences, collaborations & projects he managed so far:
– designing & implementing projects
– securing financial resources
– coordinating & reporting
– communicating & presenting scientific information (conferences, sponsors,…)
– interacting with KOLs
– adjusting to change
Mickaël is always eager to improve and acquire new skills.

#3 Sciencewise, he graduated in Biochemistry (INSA Lyon) and then kept broadening my knowledge in France, the USA and in the UK. So far he aimed at understanding cellular and molecular events shaping a balanced immune response during viral infections (SIV, LCMV, Friend virus) as well as mechanisms preventing HIV-induced inflammation.

#4 Mickaël co-authored 23 publications (1 article and 1 review are in press, h-index scoring at 15; source: google scholar). In addition, he presented his work at international and national meetings with KOLs and participated to national events launched by SIDACTION* to popularize the research activity going on in his lab and to talk about current HIV issues (2014 National Convention, 2014 Donators OpenHouse meeting, SIDACTION 2015 Promotional campaign see video on my linkedin profile).

° ANRS : French Research Agency for AIDS & Hepatitis
* SIDACTION: the foundation (AmfAR homolog) devotes its time to fundraising in France and supporting national and international programs against HIV/AIDS

Mickaël will be leaving the HIPER-Müller-Trutwin lab on March 31st 2016.
