Klara is a medical student, interested in infectious diseases. Her project aims to provide a better understanding of posttranslational tubulin modifications of Trypanosoma brucei, with a special interest on their contribution on intraflagellar transport. She is using and developing various tubulin tyrosine ligase like knock-out cell lines. More specifically, she will attempt to decipher the role of tubulin polyglutamylation, a post transcriptional modification already known to be involved in human ciliopathies.
