Jaafar Kilani obtained his Master degree from the Université de Paris (Diderot) and his PhD from the Université Paris-Saclay investigating proteomic aspects of stress signaling in the phytopathogenic fungus Botrytis cinerea. He subsequently joined the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Université d’Angers as an assistant professor teaching biotechnology, mycology and parasitology. In December 2021 Dr. Kilani moved to the Institut Pasteur to study the roles of several environmental factors in modulating the structure and function of chromatin in Neurospora crassa and Aspergillus fumigatus.
