Ilta Lafosse is a research technician (Biotechnology Degree, Université Catholique de Lyon, 2007). She has a wide experience in cell culture techniques, acquired during different temporary professional stages (Netris Pharma, Lyon-2012; L’Oréal, Aulnay-Sous-Bois, 2007-08; Université Claude Bernard, Lyon-2007). Her experience in culture, maintaining and modification of Embryonic Stem (ES) cells started during her position in Genoway, society specialized in transgenesis (2010-2012). There she performed the cell culture techniques associated to several projects of gene targeting by homologous recombination techniques in ES cells (i.e. preparation and mitomycin treatment of mouse embryonic fibroblasts-MEFs, electroporation, selection, amplification, freezing/thawing and karyotype analysis of ES cells).
She was recruited in October 2013 at the Mouse Genetics Engineering Center at the Institut Pasteur where she has learnt the manipulation, microinjection and chirurgical techniques associated to all type of transgenesis experiments together with the culture and manipulation of Embryonic Stem Cells (ES).
She holds the degree “Certification d’Expérimentation Animale Niveau II” (Lyon, 2009).
