I finished my bachelor’s degree in Biology at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2014. During my thesis research project I worked on the bioremediation of phenolic groups in industrial oil fractions degraded by ligninolytic fungi. Following this, I completed my Master’s degree in Microbiology gaining experience in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry while working on biodegradation of oil by higher fungi. During an internship at the Biological Research Center in Madrid, I began working in the field of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) for the first time with molecular recognition and chemical glycobiology. In 2016, I obtained a place on the Pasteur-Paris University International Doctoral Program and joined the group of Iñaki Guijarro (Biological NMR Technological Platform). During my PhD, I was working on the structural and characterization of Functional Amyloids from the fungal pathogen Aspergillus fumigatus.
