In 2016, I obtained a place on the Pasteur-Paris University International Doctoral Program (Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions H2020) and joined the group of Iñaki Guijarro (Biological NMR Technological Platform). During my PhD, I worked on the structural and characterization of Functional Amyloids from the fungal pathogen Aspergillus fumigatus. I obtained the PhD degree in December 2019.
After, I joined the The Hanein lab to work on Cryo-EM (single-particle and tomography approaches) to determine three-dimensional structures of macromolecular assemblies in fully hydrated state, close to their native environment. I am specialised in cryo-EM image processing (single particle reconstruction and mainly subtomogram averaging) which is the bottleneck of these technologies, a very new field in continuous change with many things to be done and discovered.
