Aysegul received her Master’s degree in molecular biology and biotechnology from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and her PhD in neuroscience from Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC) in Paris. After a post-doc at the Brain and Spine Institute (ICM), she joined Pasteur as a Post-doc. In the Zurzolo lab, she works on the mechanisms by which α-synuclein transfers through TNTs, particularly the role lysosomes play in α-syn spreading by using cell co-cultures and imaging techniques.
