I am currently a Ph.D. student in theoretical chemistry at the University of Strasbourg. My current research projects are mostly focused on pentameric ligand-gated ion channels (pLGICs), especially the elucidation of the gating mechanism and the structure-function relationship in the Glycine Receptor (GlyR). For that purpose, I am using several computational tools like Molecular Dynamics (MD), in order to capture the dynamical behavior of the channel at an atomistic level. This work is funded by the Human Brain Project for the development of a new drug design protocol to target neurological diseases.
I also benefit from a former experience in the field of chemoinformatics applied to ligand-based drug design. During my previous internships, I was trained in Big Data and machine learning to investigate the properties of protein-protein interaction inhibitors.
