Outline. A position suitable for a technician or a research engineer is available in the Insect-Virus Interactions group led by Louis Lambrechts at Institut Pasteur in Paris. The successful candidate will contribute to address the role of arbovirus adaptation to mosquito vectors. The project relies on competition assays in vitro and in vivo using dengue and Zika viruses as models.
The position is available immediately but the start date is negotiable. Funds are available for 2 years. Salary will be commensurate with experience according to the Institut Pasteur guidelines.
Qualifications. Applicants must have demonstrated expertise in molecular virology and at least 2 years of professional experience. Prior experience with arboviruses is highly desirable but not necessary. Scientific rigor, organizational skills, high motivation, English proficiency and ability to work collaboratively are essential.
