The DIVA project aids scientific users in the interpretation of their imaging data using virtual reality (VR). This multidisciplinary project is localized between two laboratories :
- Light-Based observation and control of cellular organisation (Institut Curie)
- Decision and Bayesian Computation (Institut Pasteur).

We have an open position for a motivated software engineer to assist in our development efforts. The successful candidate will contribute to the integration, optimization and testing of backend components of the DIVA platform. In this unique role, the candidate will have the opportunity to design and develop components of a high-impact software that is already being used in various research labs and hospitals to treat diverse types of imaging data. Accordingly, experience in image processing is desired for this role. The ideal candidate must be familiar with object-oriented programming and end-to-end software design.
The engineer will additionally contribute to the development of VR frontend components and gain experience in user experience (UX) design. Furthermore, he or she will have the opportunity to work in a truly modern computational infrastructure at the Institut Pasteur and will have access to the newest VR headsets, motion capture devices and compute clusters (GPU & CPU).
The engineer will work directly with the lead developer of the DIVA Platform. Beyond programming, the successful candidate should be willing to work in a highly interdisciplinary team environment.
The DIVA project is currently being incubated and will be spun out as a startup company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to play an important role in this regard.
