A little guide for advanced search:

  • Tip 1. You can use quotes "" to search for an exact expression.
    Example: "cell division"
  • Tip 2. You can use + symbol to restrict results containing all words.
    Example: +cell +stem
  • Tip 3. You can use + and - symbols to force inclusion or exclusion of specific words.
    Example: +cell -stem
e.g. searching for members in projects tagged cancer

One postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Deriano laboratory (the Genome Integrity, Immunity and Cancer Research Unit) at the Institut Pasteur in Paris. We are an enthusiastic team that is willing to welcome and share his passion for science with a dynamic, motivated and creative researcher.

The team focuses on the mechanisms of DNA double-strand break (DSB) response and repair and genome maintenance during lymphocyte development and in cancers. Lymphocytes are unique cell types of the adaptive immune system that require multiple rounds of cell divisions during their development and, most strikingly, multiple rounds of gene rearrangements during antigen receptor gene diversification (i.e. V(D)J recombination and class switch recombination). Recently, the lab has revealed the function of certain factors in V(D)J recombination, CSR and in normal and pathological lymphopoiesis. The laboratory is recruiting to work on a project aiming at using these programmed DNA recombination processes in B cells to unravel novel mechanisms of DNA end joining regulation and therapy resistance.

Research Keywords: DNA damage response and repair, genome integrity, antigen receptor gene diversification, B cell biology, proteomics, genetics, screens.

Candidates should be highly motivated and be willing to take on intellectual, scientific and technical challenges. The applicant should also have a record of delivering high quality research. Preference will be given to candidates with less than three years of experience after his/her Ph.D.

We are welcoming applicants from various backgrounds including molecular biology, molecular immunology, cancer biology as well as genetics and proteomics. Applicants should send a cover letter with a brief statement of research experience and interests (motivation letter), a C.V., a list of publications and names of at least two references to Ludovic Deriano (ludovic.deriano@pasteur.fr).
