A little guide for advanced search:

  • Tip 1. You can use quotes "" to search for an exact expression.
    Example: "cell division"
  • Tip 2. You can use + symbol to restrict results containing all words.
    Example: +cell +stem
  • Tip 3. You can use + and - symbols to force inclusion or exclusion of specific words.
    Example: +cell -stem

Pierre Guermonprez (tel.: 07 81 70 37 12 – e-mail: pierre.guermonprez@cnrs.fr) is the Team Leader of the Dentritic cells in adaptive immunity laboratory.
The Guermonprez lab investigates the cellular basis of anti-tumor immunity. We intend to understand cellular cross-talks between dendritic cells and anti-tumoral T lymphocytes in the context of cancer development and immunotherapies.

The main objectives of this project are:

  • to delineate myeloid cells and T cell infiltrate diversity in preclinical models of cancer and clinical samples defining immune landscapes,
  • to understand how myeloid cells impact on T cell localization within tumors,
  • to identify new molecular pathways underpinning cellular interactions between T lymphocytes and myeloid cells,
  • to evaluate the impact of existing and novel cancer immunotherapies on immune infiltrates.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals motivated to bring new insights into the biology of adaptive immunity against cancer.
The candidate is expected to have:

  • A specialist training in bioinformatics at M2/Msc level, grandes écoles or PhD level.
  • Dynamism, autonomy, and drive.
  • Good interaction skills with wet bench scientists and biologists in general.
  • Enthusiasm for research on cancer immunology and immunotherapy.

Previous expertise with handling of transcriptomics data, single cell RNA sequencing datas, spatial transcriptomics or TCR sequencing at the single cell level will be appreciated. Examples of methodologies of interest for the project: SEURAT; SCENIC; CELLPHONEDB; NICHENET; CytoSPACE.

About future missions:

  • Conduct analyses of experimental data generated in the lab (bulk RNAseq, scRNAseq, spatial transcriptomics) and publicly-available datasets.
  • Present results in laboratory and collaborative meetings.
  • Collaborate actively with scientists performing wet bench experiments (PhD, postdocs).
  • Interact productively with other bioinformatic engineers or researchers.
  • Formalize results for publications and participate to the assembly of publication manuscripts.
